This course is designed for students who have no knowledge of American Sign Language. The topics will cover basic signing vocabulary, finger-spelling, American Sign Language linguistic features, simple phrases, and cultural protocols. Basic American Sign Language conversations will include answering questions, introductions and exchanging personal information, and discussing family, friends, and surroundings. PREREQUISITE: Student should be fluent in reading and writing the English language.
