$1235 95 classroom hours + 40-hour externship

This nursing fundamentals course prepares the student to assess and provide for the basic physical and emotional needs of clients in all areas of healthcare and prepares the student for the State Certification Examination to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. The clinical portion of the program is an opportunity for students to competently and safely transfer classroom theory into practice with instructor guidance and supervision. This course is required by the Virginia State Board of Nursing for Certified Nursing Assistants. PREREQUISITE: Please refer to mandatory preregistration requirements above. PLEASE NOTE: Students must wear a white uniform, white shoes, and a watch with a second hand. 40-hour clinical externship starts when classroom hours end.

Must be available from 2:30 PM-11:00 PM for Clinical Externship.
