This comprehensive VHDA Homebuyer Education course offers a detailed overview of the entire home-buying process, from start to finish. Designed to equip future homeowners with the knowledge and tools they need for responsible and sustainable homeownership, the course covers essential topics such as money management, credit, working with lenders, navigating the mortgage process, and understanding loan options. Industry professionals will guide you through the ins and outs of selecting a real estate agent, conducting home inspections, and completing the settlement process.
By the end of the course, participants will have a solid foundation for making informed, confident decisions in their homebuying journey. Additionally, upon completion, attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion, which may be required to qualify for various homebuyer assistance programs. Whether you’re a first-time homebuyer or looking to brush up on the process, this course is a valuable resource for ensuring your path to homeownership is smooth, financially sound, and successful. PLEASE NOTE: Walk-ins will not be permitted. Registered ALC students will receive an external registration link via email six weeks before the class date. There will be a 30-minute break for lunch. You are welcome to bring your lunch, drink, or snack.
