Introduction to VIEWPOINTSIn this one-day immersion class, participants will be introduced to the Viewpoints movement practice.Participants will explore the fundamental elements of the Viewpoints of Time and Space, focus on building an ensemble, and create movement for the stage. Participants will gain an understanding of an approach that gives performers greater agency in creating work and an ability to work quickly to achieve dynamic results.This workshop is perfect for performers of all skill levels and suitable for ALL who are interested in developing a healthier relationship with the physical self, and those who wish to add an invaluable set of tools to their working process. We welcome everyone who is seeking to heighten their collaborative abilities, creativity, instincts, and physical performing skills.While these training techniques focus on the stage, participants from a wide range of creative fields and beyond have found benefit in adding this invaluable set of tools to their work process.Once a participant successfully completes this workshop, they will have an additional opportunity to continue their practice at a weekly training session with other members of the Time and Space Performance and Movement Research Lab. No experience necessary.
