Public Relations (PR) is more than press—it’s presence. In this hands-on, creative class, participants will learn how to craft and communicate their personal or business brand with purpose and authenticity. Through interactive lessons, case studies, and live exercises, students will explore media relations, storytelling, social media strategy, community engagement, and digital visibility tools that amplify their message. Whether you’re a small business owner, nonprofit leader, creative professional, or aspiring PR strategist, you’ll leave with a personalized PR plan and the confidence to pitch, post, and position your story for impact. PREREQUISITES: Basic computer and social media skills recommended. Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, or Canva platforms. PLEASE NOTE: Students should bring a laptop or tablet for interactive exercises and digital PR activities. All essential handouts, including templates for press releases, media kits, social media planners, and PR strategy checklists will be provided by the instructor.
