Adults (16+) 6 sessions Teaching Artist: MarieAnn “Flower” Fluker Explore the textures, patterns, and possibilities of fiber art as you learn the fundamentals of sewing and textile design. In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll get to know your sewing machine and explore techniques such as folding, appliqué, basic piecing, and decorative stitching. Students will experiment with color, fabric, and surface design to create unique, textile-based artworks. No prior sewing experience needed. All registrants must bring their own sewing machine, manual, and attachments. A selection of fabrics will be provided for practice, but students are encouraged to source their own fabric for personal projects!
